Verse of the Day

Horsemanship

There are 3 ways that campers can enjoy horses here at Brook Cherith Camp.  One is to sign up for horsemanship class during the traditional camp weeks.  The camper will then have a class per day at the horse barn learning the basics of horse care, basic riding techniques, and going on a trail ride.  Another opportunity we have for our campers is our Horse Specialty Camp, where they will enjoy a week of riding and learning horse care. Each camper will learn to saddle and bridle the horse, practice grooming and hoof care basics, and have plenty of riding time.  During this camp, the campers will enjoy all of their classes at the horse barn.....this camp is for the true horse lover!

After completion of the Horse Specialty Camp, campers may then attend Advanced Horsemanship. Campers will be refreshed on what they learned in Horse Specialty and also will enjoy learning many new skills & enjoy having more hands on time with the horses.

Upon receipt of your registration, you will be sent a questionnaire to be completed and returned before camp starts.  Please be sure to bring with you boots with a heal for riding and long pants.
